Hydatina physis; specimen from Anilao, Philippines. For me as a rotiferologist it is interesting to realize that a rotifer genus had also been named Hydadina: for example Hydatina senta. Following the rules for the naming of zoological species, the rotifer later had to be renamed to Epiphanes senta. |
